About Emilie
Emilie Dayan Hill, CFA, is an investor, writer, and mother based in Atlanta, Georgia.
She believes that our financial choices are expressions of our values, our fears and aspirations, and our sense of what time is worth. Money, in her view, is not an end but a means: a tool for building a life that is intentional, meaningful, and genuinely your own. She is particularly drawn to the questions underneath the numbers — why we are the way we are with money, what it would mean to align our resources with our deepest priorities, and how clarity in our financial lives can be a form of freedom.
Professionally, she is a principal and portfolio manager at an investment management firm, where she focuses on client relationships, investment analysis, portfolio construction, and risk management. She is also the creator of Finance That Feels, a newsletter on the psychology of money and the human experience behind financial decisions.
Motherhood brought all of this into sharper focus. When the stakes are real and time feels finite, the question of how to live — and how money serves that life — becomes impossible to ignore.
Whether through investment management, writing, or speaking, Emilie works with people who want to live with intention.

Emilie Dayan Hill stands for values-aligned clarity, grounded in mindset, behavior, and a well-lived life.

Paris Guide
The French don't think about money the way Americans do — and it shows. Emilie Hill has spent a lifetime as a dual citizen, an insider-outsider between French and American cultures. Her Practical Paris Guide is the distillation of everything she learned living there as a young woman. Paris is a moveable feast. Let's go.
